Our covered driving range is open from 8.30am – 10pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am – 9pm Friday to Sunday. Floodlighting allows use of the range throughout the year and buckets of balls can be purchased from the sports complex reception. Our practice facilities also include a putting green and bunker, allowing members to improve their short game.
The APC Golf Association is a long established group of golfing enthusiasts with full affiliation to the Scottish Golfing Union allowing us to allocate and maintain handicaps. During the season (April to October), we play regular Monthly Medal and Stableford competitions on the first and last Friday afternoon of the month at Deeside, Banchory and Newburgh Golf Clubs. We also have an extensive fixture list of away outings, which include in 2015 Panmuir, Blairgowrie, Downfield, Montrose, Ballater, Kingsbarns etc.
Our end of year activities culminates in Scotland v Rest of the World, played in a matchplay format and an end of year prize giving dinner at Kippie Lodge.
Since the establishment of Kippie Lodge in 1973, there has been in existence the Aberdeen Petroleum Club Golf Assoc (APCGA). This section has sat as an ‘extra’ to membership of Kippie, with its own constitution and office bearers. The current cost of membership of APCGA is £60 (annually) and this includes a £14 SGU fee, handicapping facilities and end of year trophies.

In July 2016 the Kippie ladies golf section was resurrected after interest was noted from a few Kippie members. We now number 45 ladies, some complete beginners and some experienced golfers who are members at other clubs in the area. Since July 26 ladies have gained a handicap playing on our beautiful 9 hole course which is now accredited for competition golf.
We play on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 6 tee times are block booked from 10am for lady members. During the golf season, April to October we shall be playing 2 counting competitions for handicap purposes each month. All other competitions will be fun games. Our fees are £45 per annum, fees are due on 1st March and must be paid by 31st March. All members are registered with Scottish Golf and receive a membership card from them once they have a handicap.
The emphasis is definitely on fun and social golf and we welcome all full members of Kippie. Coffee, cake and a chat about the highs and lows after a round of golf is almost the best part of our play days! Sometimes we even need a glass of something stronger…..
So, if you’ve been thinking about taking up golf for the first time, or after a lapse, please come and join us. Its great exercise in a stunning location, a chance to make new friends, develop a new skill and as we only play 9 holes, it takes less than 2 hours out of your day.
